IBPS RRB Official Notification

The official notification for the recruitment of IBPS RRB has been published by the respective authority. This year we have observed that vacancies in IBPS RRB has been decreased when compared to last year. 2019 being the year of General Election, we were expecting more vacancies but anyways, the aspirants have to settle with less this time.

As per the IBPS RRB Notification 2018, the exam for the post of Office Assistant is expected to be conducted in the Month of August and exam for Officer Scale 1 will be conducted in the last week of August. Students have enough time to prepare for Officer Scale I and grab the opportunity by the end of the year 2018.

IBPS RRB 2018 Eligibility Criteria

IBPS has defined Essential Qualification, Age Limit and Various other criteria for a candidate to be eligible for Office Assistant and Officer Scale I in all the Regional Rural Banks. Let us look at the Eligibility Criteria For IBPS RRB 2018.

Office Assistant:

  • Nationality: Citizen of India or A Subject Of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Age (as on 1st June 2018): Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates born on or after 02.06.1990 and on or before 01.06.2000 are eligible to apply.
  • Educational Qualification (as on 2nd July 2018): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Language Proficiency of that State is Must.

Officer Scale I:

  • Nationality: Citizen of India or A Subject Of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Age (as on 1st June 2018): Between 18 years and 30 years i.e. candidates born on or after 03.06.1988 and on or before 31.05.2000 are eligible to apply.
  • Educational Qualification (as on 2nd July 2018): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Language Proficiency of that State is Must.

IBPS RRB 2018 Application Fee

A minimum amount has to be paid as Application Fee in order to appear for IBPS RRB Exam. The IBPS RRB Application Fee is different for different categories. Relaxation or concession has been provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories. Below is the IBPS RRB Application Fee for Different Categories.

IBPS RRB Online Application

The IBPS RRB (Office Assistant and Officer Scale I) 2018 application process started from 8th June 2018. Candidates are required to visit the IBPS Official Page to fill in the online application form as the entire process to apply for IBPS RRB 2018 exam will be online. The application fee for IBPS RRB Exam is Rs. 600/- for General category and Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.

Step 3:
If you are a new user, then you will have to click on New Registration on the above mentioned links. And then you will have to provide your Personal Details, Educational Qualification and other relevant information based on your choices.

Step 4: Before the Final Submit, please go through the all the information you have provided in the Application Form. Once the Preview is done, do submit the form and proceed to the Payment.

Step 5: After making the Payment, do not forget to download the E-Receipt and Application Form. Both of these documents are required at the time of Interview

IBPS RRB 2018 Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB is quite different from all the exams being conducted by IBPS throughout the year. This exam is focused on the basic aptitude skills and least bothered about the English Language Section. Unlike IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB Exam has only two sections in Preliminary Exam viz. Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Let us look at the exam pattern in detail:

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam has only two stages. If a candidate score above the cut off, then he or she will be directly inducted in the Banks. The final result of IBPS RRB Office Assistant is expected to be released in January 2019. Let us look at IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam Pattern:

Note: Once the student qualifies in Mains Examination, then he or she will be called for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). IBPS RRB 2018 Result

IBPS RRB 2018 Result will be declared for individual stages separately. For Preliminary Exam, the result will be declared 14 days prior to the Mains Examination. IBPS RRB Result for Mains Exam will be declared within 30 days from the date of Mains Exam. Hence the candidates will be called for Interview for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I.
