SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2018

SSC has released 1223 vacancies for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPF and Other Departments. This year SSC CPO Notification was released on 3rd March and the application process started. Before we move on to the Exam Pattern of SSC CPO 2018 Examination, let us look at the important dates that you need to remember regarding the SSC CPO Recruitment Process.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern

If you have not gone through the SSC CPO Exam Pattern or the Scheme Of Examination then you must know what will be the pattern and how the computer-based examination will be conducted. SSC CPO Exam Pattern includes 4 Stages:
1. Paper – I
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET)
3. Paper – II
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

Let us start the SSC CPO Exam Pattern with the first stage i.e. Paper I

SSC CPO Exam Pattern: Paper I

This will be a Computer Based Examination where 200 Questions will be asked in total and the maximum marks one can get is 200. The total duration will be of 120 Minutes (2 Hours) in which the candidates have to attempt the paper. There will be a penalty of 0.25 Marks for every wrong answer you mark. So students, you need to be careful and has attempt the paper with caution. The level of SSC CPO Paper I is easy as compared to SSC CGL and the types of questions remain almost similar. SSC CPO Exam Pattern: Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET)

This test is meant to check the Physical Standards of the candidates and if they are physically fit in order to serve the country. The Physical Standard Test is one of the most important aspect of SSC CPO Selection and one can not ignore this. For both Male and Female Candidates, this test is compulsory and they will be called for the test if they qualify the Paper I. The above standards will be checked by the Medical Supervisor assigned by the Commission for the task. Apart from this, there will be a Physical Endurance Test that will measure your endurance in some predefined condition. You will have to perform certain activities and if you qualify each and every test, then only you will get qualified for the next stage of SSC CPO Recruitment. SSC CPO Exam Pattern: Paper II

Candidates qualifying in both Physical Standard Tests and Physical Endurance Test will be called for the next stage viz. Paper II. Paper II is a 2 Hour long paper of English Language. This paper will be objective in nature and candidates have to mark the right option as their answer. There will be a penalty of 0.25 Marks for every wrong answer you mark. SSC CPO Exam Pattern: Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

All the candidates who qualify in Paper-II will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade I of any Central/ State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary. Candidates, who are found to be unfit, will be informed of the position and they can make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days.

The decision of Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be final and no appeal/ representation against the decision of the Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be entertained. Finally selected candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector would, as part of training curriculum, have to pass seven obstacle events as mentioned below, failing which they may not be retained in the Force:
i) Jumping over the Vertical Board;
ii) Holding the rope on jumping from the Board.
iii) Tarzan Swing;
iv) Jumping on the Horizontal Board;
v) Parallel Rope;
vi) Monkey Crawl;
vii) Vertical Rope.
